The African Fashion International (AFI) South African Music Awards 30th celebration, showcased the country’s best artists and fashion looks, with some musicians receiving awards for their all-time hit singles.

This star-studded event at the Gallagher Convention Centre was themed, ‘Proudly South African,’ as local celebrities support local fashion designers and celebrate the country’s diversity in languages, cultures, and fashion items.

According to news publication, News24, performances included stars from CICI, Ringo Madlingozi, and renowned hip-hop group Skwatta Kamp to name a few.

Here’s what our celebs wore at the SAMA30:

  1. Zanele Potelwa

This hostess with the most came dressed in a yellow mermaid-inspired dress by fashion designer Otiz Seflo.

2. Nadia Nakai

Rapper Nadia Nakai also known as ‘Bragga’ stunned in a gorgeous Gert Johan Coetzee ensemble at the SAMAs30.

3. LootLove

MetroFM radio host LootLove gave all things bling and glam with her look at the event.

4. Khosi Twala

Former BONA cover star and Big Brother Titans winner has been slaying every single fashion look since making it into the scene. At the event, she donned a Kdubbles Design dress.

5. Boohle 

Amapiano star Boohle looked gorgeous in a yellow dress, speaking to News24 about this look she said, “The inspiration behind the look is Africanness, sunrise, we’re blooming, it’s summer, we’re bright, we’re beautiful, and Africanness doesn’t go out of style.”

6. Kuhle Adams

SAMA red carpet host Kuhle Adams posted her look with the caption, “Stepping into my dreams, guarded & guided by God’s gentle hand. Feeling like a ray of sunshine, with a truly content heart.” She added that she was dressed by one of the event’s sponsors AFI.

7. Minnie Dlamini

Minnie dubbed the host for the SAMAs30 showcased her red carpet looks which gave supreme elegance with a mix of black and a touch of red.
