Kaizer Chiefs have a number of players sidelined due to injuries.
Since the arrival of Nabi, Amakhosi never had a full healthy squad and even during pre-season, a number of players were injured in Turkey and had to return home.
During the team’s 1-1 draw with Galaxy, the team was without six influential players on Monday. The injured players include midfielders Edson Castillo, Nkosingiphile Ngcobo and Gaston Sirino, defenders Dillan Solomons and Bradley Cross, as well as goalkeeper Brandon Petersen.
Kaizer Chiefs have several players out but there is good news
Despite missing these key players to injury, Kaizer Chiefs fought back and grabbed a last minute goal thanks to Ranga Chivaviro. The draw sees Amakhosi move up to nineth in the Betway Premiership after nine matches.
Nabi’s men will again be in action on 29 December against Chippa United. The two week break will give injured players a chance to recover before the team’s next matches in January. Amakhosi will be seeking to bounce back from their disappointing two matches which saw them lose five points.
With the Janiary transfer just over two weeks away, Kaizer Chiefs are set to bring in new players. Despite signing six players in the previous transfer window, the team are still in the bottom half of the table.
This week, Amakhosiwelcomed the return of Tebogo Potsane, who returned from injury after eight months. The forward came from the bench and made an impact against TS Galaxy ensureing Amakhosi earn a draw away.
