Legendary actor Fana Mokoena who recently leftthe Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), has taken to social media to announce his return to acting.
FANA MOKOENA RETURNS TO SCREEN?
Sunday World reports that the former EFF member and actor Fana Mokoenashared a photo of actors Warren Masemola and Desmond Dube and said he’s honoured to be working with the two thespians again.
“Two of the most simmered artists in this proud land. Good brothers come together again it is always a blast,” wrote Mokoena.
This comes after the 53-year-old left the EFF on 17 October.
TimesLIVE reported that Mokoena resigned four months after he was sworn-in as an MP in the seventh parliament.
“We can confirm that the Speaker is in receipt of a letter of resignation from Mr Mokoena,” said parliament spokesperson Moloto Mothapo.
The internationally acclaimed actor also left parliament in October 2020.
He first became an EFF MP in May 2014, representing the party in the National Council of Provinces before switching to the National Assembly in August 2016 until October 2020 when he resigned.
