February SASSA SRD grant status still not showing? What to know

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) confirmed through social media posts the dates for SRD grant payments for February.

However, many beneficiaries have took to social media to find out if they will be paid this month. The reason for this is that some say they are not able to check their status or it is still pending for February on SASSA’s website. Here’s what to know.

SASSA SRD GRANT PAYMENT DATES FOR FEBRUARY

It seems these issues or delays with status checks is one of the reasons why SASSA SRD grant payment dates for February would be late.

According to SASSA’s flyer for SRD grant dates for this month, payments will be processed over a period of three days. The dates set for payments are from 26 – 28 February 2025.

These dates are relatively shorter and later than usual. Grant recipients have shared that it usually happens over a longer period.

WILL BENEFICIARIES RECEIVE PAYMENTS FOR FEBRUARY?

The SASSA SRD grant system works by processing payments for each month. This is why recipients have to check their status monthly. This is to see if they have been approved to get paid for that particular month

Some have since asked SASSA on social media what would happen regarding payments this month. SASSA did respond to its beneficiaries’ concerns on their Facebook page. The agency confirmed that recipients will be paid this month.

Despite this confirmation, some beneficiaries have complained about the dates for processing grants. They revealed that the late processing of payments this month meant that grants would reflect in their bank accounts in March.
