Former Orlando Pirates star Thandani Ntshumayelo is making headlines after he shared progress on the mega-mansion he is reportedly building.

The now-viral photos of the mega-mansion are trending months after the publication reported that the star was building his dream home in one of Johannesburg’s leafy suburbs.

Rumour mill has it that the former Orlando Pirates star is seemingly building in the Eye of Africa Golf & Residential Estate.

Last year, he shared a video of him driving around the estate, and in his next post, he shared photos and videos of his mega-mansion, which he is building.

This undoubtedly convinced many that Thandani Mtshumayelo was building in the estate. However, he has yet to confirm whether the double-storey is in the Eye of Africa Golf & Residential Estate.

The former Orlando Pirates star recently set social media abuzz after sharing a progress update photos of the mega-mansion.

According to a recent post, the mega-mansion is almost done. The former Orlando Pirates star has since inserted big wall windows for natural light. Little is known about the house’s number of rooms.

However, judging from Thandani Ntshumayelo’s photos, the double-storey house boasts modern architectural designs.

The former Orlando Pirates joins a host of former Premier League stars, including Teenage Hadebe, who recently made headlines with their lush properties.

Last year, the former Kaizer Chiefs star showed off the house he had been building in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe.

In June 2024, Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Melusi Buthelezi topped trends after he showed off a lush rural he is building in Nquthu, KwaZulu-Natal.

CAREER AND LIFE AFTER FOOTBALL

After retiring from football, he returned to school and has been venturing into many businesses. Thandani Ntshumayelo is pursuing a Higher Law Certificate at the University of South Africa (UNISA).

Thandani Ntshumayelo had his youth career with Black Swallows before joining SuperSport United in 2005.

He made his senior debut in 2009, and in 2012, the midfielder joined Orlando Pirates and made over 70 appearances.

However, in 2016, Thandani Ntshumayelo was handed a four-year ban from football after he tested positive for a banned substance.

In 2019, he returned to football, but his last dance was not as picture-perfect as many expected. However, Thandani Ntshumayelo retired from football in 2023.
