Ex-Kaizer Chiefs star on the move for R100 million?

Kaizer Chiefs graduate Siyabonga Ngezana is looking to make a mammoth R100 million move this European summer.

Ngezana is impressing in Romania

According to Soccer-Laduma who cited a Romanian publication, two clubs are fighting over Bafana Bafana and former Kaizer Chiefs defender Siyabonga Ngezana.

“Siyabonga Ngezana’s future at FCSB is currently uncertain, with the South African defender reportedly attracting interest from clubs across Europe. According to sources in Romania, Italian Serie A side Lecce and English Championship club Birmingham are both keen on acquiring Ngezana’s services. The two clubs are said to be willing to offer a sum of €5 million (±R100 million) to secure the 27-year-old’s signature.Â

Appollis will fetch a pretty penny

Oswin Appollis is a rare type of player in South Africa, with a low centre of gravity and the ability to go both ways when confronted by a marker near the touchline. His rare combination of traits makes him a highly coveted operator.

Elias Mokwana, Khanyisa Mayo and Iqraam Rayners are other South African attackers who’ve made big moves either abroad or within the Betway Premiership. Mokwana moved to Esperance for 370k (R7.2 million), Rayners switched to Sundowns for an undisclosed fee although his estimated transfer value now stands at R35 million (evidence of the power Sundowns have over the market) and Mayo is in Algeria with Belouizdad in a deal which cost his new employers €750k (R14.5 million). Rayners has been the subject of a recent R55 million bid from Europe.

How much will Appollis cost Kaizer Chiefs?

Saile leaving?

According to Soccer-Laduma, Christian Saile’s former club Nchanga Rangers want to bring the 25-year-old back to the club on loan. Congolese striker Saile has managed seven goals and four assists from 56 Chiefs appearances. Is that good enough for a club of Chiefs’ calibre?
