American billionaire Elon Musk has called for sanctions against Julius Malema for years of his vitriol against white South Africans.

The owner of SpaceX and Tesla has suddenly become aware of old videos of the EFF leader and the even less influential Andile Mngxitama calling on their supporters to stand up against white supremacy.

South Africans have consistently rejected messages of political violence and rejected both leaders.

Mngxitama’s political formation closed down and he joined Jacob Zuma’s MK party, while Malema’s EFF lost votes in the 2024 elections and continue to lose just about every byelections in all regions of the country.

In the old video, Malema said: “If you want to hit them hard, go after a white man.”

“They feel a terrible pain.”

“We are starting with this whiteness.”

“We are cutting the throat of whiteness”

Musk took to his social media platform X and called for “Immediate sanctions for Malema and declaration of him as an international criminal!”

In another tweet, Musk said Malema was “openly calling for genocide against white people”.

“This is a major political party in the South African parliament and their leader is calling for genocide of white people.”

Malema, whose party has been battling to get the attention of the country since it got clobbered at the polls, took advantage of Musk’s statement and called him a direct beneficiary of apartheid privileges and a “spoiled brat”.

The EFF said the struggle era song; Ayesaba Amagwala which contains the words Dubula ibhunu (Shoot the Boer) was declared by the Equality Court as not constituting hate speech.

“The EFF will not be cowed into submission, retreat nor capitulation from its principled and unwavering commitment to confront imperialism and its surrogates like Elon Musk anywhere and everywhere it raises its ugly head,” the Fighters said in a statement.
