Done deal? Kaizer Chiefs eye blockbuster deal!

Kaizer Chiefs are monitoring Richards Bay defender Lwandile Mabuya.

AmaKhosi’s aim to lure attacking firepower has them peering over Natal Rich Boyz, and with the potential for a player exchange, there’s chances are promising.

Kwa-Zulu Natal has Kaizer Chiefs’ Sabelo Radebe and Mduduzi Mdantsane on their payroll and could be tempted to make one permanent if Mabuya goes the other way.

“From what we understand, there could be a player exchange between the two clubs, mainly Mduduzi Mdantsane,” SoccerLaduma confirmed. “Yes, Sabelo Radebe could also stay but that could be decided when everything is settled and agreed upon. Now they have to consider the offer Chiefs have tabled first then the rest (can happen) including a player exchange could follow.”

Meanwhile, KickOff reported that,”it is true that Chiefs have contacted us several times about Mabuya’s situation”. The Glamour Boys are expected to make a bid in the upcoming offseason window.

Mayele inbound?

Other stars in their sights are Pyramids FC pair Fiston Mayele and Fagrie Lakay – but it’s the former they really want.

“At the moment there is not one striker who the club could say is the one joining them. Yes, they are priotising Fiston Mayele but they don’t want to be caught off guard if things don’t work out with him and that’s why they are reigniting the interest in [Fagrie] Lakay,” SoccerLaduma confirmed.

“You remember they have been interested in him for some time now? They are just waiting for that chance to sign him. And this could be the right time to do so for the club,” they concluded.

A second source confirmed Kaizer Chiefs’ keenness, saying, “It could go down to choice and priority for both Chiefs and Pyramids. Which striker could Pyramids let go and which one do they really want to keep? As for Chiefs, which player do they really want to sign over the other?

“It is expected to go down to the wire as they are interested in two strikers of the same team. So, it will also be about the pricing from Pyramids and what Chiefs can afford to pay for them to get the striker they desire for next season. That’s the decision they will have to make.”

Would Mayele suit Kaizer Chiefs?
