Hollard has announced the date for its annual Daredevil Speedo Run.

Guys from all over South Africa will again make the news when taking to the streets in their Speedo, across different parts of the country.

Men from around South Africa will run through the streets in purple swimsuits, all for a good cause.

DAREDEVIL SPEEDO RUN

The annual edition of the Daredevil Run, which sees thousands of guys hitting the streets in their swimwear, will take place on Friday 1 November.

The main event will be held at Zoo Lake in Johannesburg.

NATIONWIDE DAREDEVIL SPEEDO RUN

Though the main event will take place in Johannesburg, participants from across the country are also invited to get into a purple Daredevil Speedo and join the event wherever they are located.

Participants may run alone or in groups, anywhere in South Africa.

That said, participants from outside of Johannesburg are also welcome to join other cancer warriors at Zoo Lake in Johannesburg on 1 November at 15.00.

RAISING AWARENESS FOR MALE CANCERS

Plenty of runners wearing purple swimsuits will participate in the fun run.

In fact, the event aims to raise awareness about cancers affecting men of all ages.

CANCERS AFFECTING MEN

Thousands of brave men in purple Speedos will take to the streets in an attempt to draw attention to prostate and testicular cancer.

All proceeds from the Daredevil Run will indeed go to the Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA) and the Prostate Cancer Foundation of South Africa.

Moreover, funds raised will be used to fund testing in under-resourced areas and to increase awareness, support and research.

SELF-EXAMINATIONS

With this in mind, men are reminded to conduct regular testicular checks and to go for screenings.

So, guys, it’s time to get out of your comfort zone and to give your man bits some attention!

Lace-up your shoes and power up your purple Speedo. Get ready to take part in this year’s Hollard Daredevil Run.

Guys, spread the word and don’t be shy to invite others to join the event on 1 November at Zoo Lake in Johannesburg (or elsewhere in South Africa) to run cancer out of town.

Registration is open. Participants will receive their Daredevil registration packs via courier.
