Could Pitso Mosimane be tempted?

As the local football season draws to a close, Pirates are on the hunt for a new head coach, rumours continue to swirl about the job security of Chiefs boss Nasreddine Nabi, and all the while, Pitso Mosimane remains on the market.

This week Pirates will bid farewell to Jose Riveiro, who is set to become the highest paid coach in Africa when he takes up a new role as the head coach of Egyptian giants Al Ahly.

The remaining matches of the season will be overseen by assistant coach Mandla Ncikazi, but Pirates have been conducting plenty of work behind the scenes for some time as they consider who could be the next man to take over at the helm of the club.

Meanwhile, over at Kaizer Chiefs, there are some contrasting reports over the future of Nabi, who has just led the Glamour Boys to a long-awaited title after overcoming Pirates in the Nedbank Cup final.

It does appear that Nabi is most likely to remain at Amakhosi as they search for some consistency, but there are still strong rumours to suggest that he could consider moving on after a tumultuous season to date.

Is Pitso Mosimane an option at Chiefs or Pirates?

The successful former Mamelodi Sundowns coach is currently without a top-flight coaching role, and many have wondered whether he could consider an opportunity with a top PSL team.

Mosimane is currently focused on the Pitso Mosimane Soccer Schools (PMSS) project, but he has not ruled out the possibility of joining a big club when the project seems like the right one.

When speaking to the Sowetan recently, the popular coach was asked whether he would consider a return to the Premier Soccer League? “Why not?”, he answered. “It must be for the right project. It must be at the right time.”

DO YOU THINK HE COULD BE A REALISTIC CANDIDATE AT ONE OF THE SOWETO GIANTS?
