‘Obviously, Kimvuidi is disappointed with the lack of first-team opportunities, but he will be staying at the club,’ said a source close to the situation.

Karim Kimvuidi is set to remain with Orlando Pirates despite limited appearances under head coach Jose Riveiro this season.

The Congolese attacking midfielder has attracted interest from several Betway Premiership rivals, but the Buccaneers have no intention of parting ways with him.

So far this season, Kimvuidi has featured in only four league matches, a significant drop from the 17 appearances he made during the previous campaign.

The 23-year-old has found himself down in the pecking order, behind Kabelo Dlamini, Thalente Mbatha, Patrick Maswangayi, and Makhehlene Makhaula.

“Obviously, Kimvuidi is disappointed with the lack of first-team opportunities, but he will be staying at the club,” said a source close to the situation.

“The club still believes in his potential. He’s young and they are confident he can still play a key role at Pirates beyond this season. There have been several enquiries and loan offers, but they were considered.”
