There’s growing speculation that Orlando Pirates will be without Relehobile Mofokeng next season.

The 20-year-old sensation has several clubs abroad gunning for his signature, namely Barcelona, Al Ahly and Glasgow Rangers.

Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos believes it will be Mofokeng’s last season at Orlando Pirates.

“Talking about Mofokeng, I just hope that he makes the right decisions. And that he is not going to a team where he won’t play,” Broos told  iDiski Times.

“I see all the things around, Barcelona and Rangers and… (sighs) I’m a little bit afraid. I just hope that the people around make the choice of the best sportive solution and not the best financial solution.”

“Okay, I think his parents want the best for him, that’s for sure. But there is another guy who wants to win a lot of money also, but that’s the problem. But ok, let’s hope, maybe I talked too soon about that,

“We’ll see. I think in June, Rele will not be a player of Orlando Pirates anymore, but a good choice is very important.”

Rhodes interest

Cape Town City forward Jaedin Rhodes poses as the ultimate replacement if Mofokeng decides to leave.

According to reports, Orlando Pirates tried to sign the 21-year-old attacker in January, but , after failing to do so, will try again in the offseason:

“He (Rhodes) has been one of their (Pirates’) targets for some time now,” SoccerLadumaconfirmed.

“They have been monitoring him though there hasn’t been much happening. They were targeting him for the January transfer window period.

“Now that it didn’t happen they have more time to work on it and will see what happens in the next window. But they are interested in him. That I can tell you.”

Where will Orlando Pirates finish in the Champions League?
