Benson Mhlongo secures new role at SAFPU

Former Bafana Bafana player Benson Mhlongo has been appointed Coordinator and Player Development Manager at the South African Football Players Union [SAFPU].

Mhlongo retired from playing in 2016 and has been involved in coaching since. This includes stints at Orlando Pirates as an assistant coach as well as at Black Leopards and TS Sporting.

The 44-year-old has now shifted roles and joined the football union that represents over 1,000 current and former football players in South Africa.
