One of South Africa’s most decorated football talents Benni McCarthy has recently left a tear in the eyes of many of his social media followers after recently celebrating his daughter’s 20th birthday.�
The former Bafana Bafana star currently resides in Edinburgh, Scotland where he is happily enjoying his time with his Scottish-born wife, Stacey McCarthy.�
In a heartwarming post, he recently took to Instagram to wish his eldest daughter Minna expressing just how proud he is of her.�
“Happy 20th birthday to my firstborn! You’ve grown into such an incredible young woman, and I’m so proud of you. Love you endlessly.”�
The post was accompanied by her picture, highlighting how she is the splitting image of her superstar father.�
Minna is the eldest of Benni’s three children whom he shares with Spanish ex-wife Maria Santos. The couple share two more daughters Mya and Allegra. According to reports he and Maria parted ways in 2007.�
Meanwhile, this past week appeared to be one of the celebrations in the McCarthy household as his wife Stacey also celebrated her birthday.�
Following his recent stint as attacking coach with English giants Manchester United, Benni is expected to take up a new role that will see him lead a national team for the very first time as a coach. This comes after the Scottish Sun previously reported that Benni will be assuming the role of the head coach of Kenya’s football team.�
It is further reported that his immediate objectives will be to take the team to success by focusing on the World Cup qualifiers against Gambia and Gabon.�
