Meaning, Bucs management must find a new coach and soon. Moreover, the next Pirates head coach has some pretty big boots to fill. Interestingly, Bucs and Bafana Bafana legend Benni McCarthy’s name is linked with the Pirates hot seat. Here is the latest.

MCCARTHY LINKED WITH PIRATES JOB

Since Riveiro confirmed that he will be leaving the Bucs. ‘McCarthy to Pirates’ rumours have been rife.

Moreover, McCarthy has been linked with Pirates and Chiefs ever since he stated that he woud be open tp returning to the PSL one day.

Now, with the Bucs in the market for a new coach, new hopes have emerged and with it new rumours.

Additionally, rumours have been circuiting over the possibility of McCarthy leaving Kenya. However, all of these rumours are just that – based on heresay. In fact, as things stand, McCarthy is happy with Harambee Stars in Kenya.

“The links of Benni McCarthy going to Orlando Pirates, that’s just rumours. I was with Benni yesterday and he is very very happy in Kenya. These rumours about him leaving Harambee Stars have been circulating and they started in South Africa, not Kenya. He is happy and not leaving Harambee Stars,” the insider stated on SNL.

Pirates will have a new coach in charge of them next season.

Thereafter, the new coach will appoint a new Bucs coach. This is because club captain because Innocent Maela is one of SIX Pirates players heading out of Mayfair.

Meanwhile, in stark contrast to January, Pirates look set to have a busy transfer window. So far, FOURnew players have reportedly been signed by the Bucs already. Additionally, several Bafana Bafana targets are linked with Pirates
