Bafana Bafana top striker Lyle Foster is facing another injury, his club, Burnley FC, confirmed.

His coach, Scott Parker, has provided the latest update on his injury ahead of the team’s Championship tie against Watford FC on Friday. The Clarets are fighting to gain promotion back to the English Premier League [EPL], having secured 88 points so far with four matches remaining.

Regarding the injury of the Bafana Bafana striker, Parker has provided some good news. Foster could feature again in the coming matches, having suffered a shoulder injury during their EFL 0-0 draw encounter with Derby County FC last week.

“We had some good news around Lyle [Foster], and we are hoping we will see him again before the end of the season. It may be as quick as over the next couple of games,” said Parker during a press conference ahead of the game against Watford.

“So, again, we are at the back end of the season. He is in the frame of mind where he wants to get back as well. We will see, we will slowly push him, we pushed him [on Wednesday], see how he comes out of that and take it gradually with him.

“From the initial worry, whilst it’s still a biggish injury, it’s stable and it might be something if Lyle can tolerate, it’s still a big ask, but we will see where Lyle progresses with that really.”

The Bafana Bafana striker has scored three times and provided a further five assists for Burnley this season.

Should Foster move to a different team next season?
