Siyethemba Sithebe‘s agent Usawakhe Sithebe has broken his silence on his client’s imminent departure from Richards Bay FC.
Reports of Sithebe possibly leaving the Natal Rich Boyz surfaced earlier this week as reported on The South African website.
Now, his agent has confirmed termination talks between the player and the club, but he is not aware if Sithebe is still there.
Furthermore, Usawakhe said he was not consulted by Richards Bay FC regarding the termination of Sithebe’s contract.
Sithebe only joined Richards Bay FC at the start of the season following his departure from Kaizer Chiefs.
Sithebe has featured in eight competitive matches since his arrival at Richards Bay FC without scoring a goal.
The 31-year-old last featured against AmaZulu on 30 November. He missed Richards Bay FC’s last two league matches.
AGENT ADDRESSES SITHEBE’S IMMINENT DEPARTURE
“I can’t say whether Sithebe is still Richards Bay player or not. However, I’m aware of their intentions to terminate his contract” – Sithebe told Victor Molefe on Ukhozi FM as per SABC Sport.
“I was not consulted as his representative about all of that, I’m hoping to meet the club and find solutions. It does not look like they still want to keep him, though. We will find out at our next meeting”
