Zungu to Kaizer Chiefs: More good news!

Kaizer Chiefs are willing to consider signing Bongani Zungu if a couple of conditions are met.

Kaizer Chiefs are in the market for a midfielder.

Meanwhile, Nabi and Amakhosi’s main transfer targets have been revealed. Moreover, recent decisions at Naturena may open the door to the possibility of signing ex-Mamelodi Sundowns and Bafana Bafana man, Bongani Zungu.

CHIEFS TO CONSIDER ZUNGU

Chiefs are open to considering Zungu.

So, a couple of things need to happen in order for this to happen.

“If both Mdantsane and Mthethwa leave that would open space for the club to sign either Nduli or Zungu or even both of them if need be,” the insider stated on SoccerLaduma.

Furthermore, another Chiefs midfielder is heading out of Naturena. Meaning, two midfielders are heading out of Naturena. So, half of the conditions have been met with another midfield spot opening up.

Also, Zungu is a free agent. Therefore, Chiefs could sign him before the up-and-coming January transfer window if Nabi decides he fits into his future plans.

GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY BUT NOT LIKELY

Ultimately, Chiefs can technically sign Zungu. Whilst, half of the conditions will be met.

However, he is not first choice or even second in the midfield. Currently, the likes of Sihle Nduli and Feisel Salum are preferred. Chiefs are even willing to swop a player to sign this midfielder from their PSL rivals.

Nabi and Amakhosi were not originally in the market for a midfielder but Edson Castillo has been ruled out for four to five months. Meaning, they need to recruit one. Especially, with the likes of Sibongiseni Mthethwa and George Matlou linked with exits.

IS ZUNGU PAST HIS PRIME OR COULD HE STILL ADD VALUE TO CHIEFS UNDER NABI?
