Vanity Fair has dropped its star-studded Hollywood issue early this year, showcasing twelve of the industry’s biggest names.

The grand two-day photoshoot took over Los Angeles’ Milk Studios in September.

THE ‘HOLLYWOOD’ COVER

Zendaya, Nicole Kidman, and Sydney Sweeney headline the glamorous lineup. They flaunt designer fashion and timeless Hollywood charisma.

Styled by George Cortina and captured by Gordon Von Steiner, the shoot brought together A-listers from various productions, according to Fashion Spot.

Glen Powell even jetted in after a single hour’s sleep to fulfil his “bucket list” dream of appearing on the iconic cover.

THE ‘HOLLYWOOD’ COVER SHOOT

The shoot was a massive production, requiring 24 trunks, 50 boxes, and 30 racks of clothing.

Four security guards kept a vigilant eye on priceless jewellery adorning the stars, according to Vanity Fair.

Zoe Saldana managed to squeeze in the shoot between a house renovation and promoting her latest film, Emilia Perez.

Other stars included Dev Patel, Josh O’Connor, Danielle Deadwyler, Jonathan Bailey, Lisa, Ncuti Gatwa, and Bill Skarsgård.

CONTRIBUTIONS TO HOLLYWOOD CINEMA

These stars represent the future of Hollywood, with each chosen for their unique contributions to cinema.

Zendaya, a favourite among fans and critics alike, expressed her gratitude for her career’s unexpected twists.

Reflecting on a past setback that led her to Euphoria, she shared, “There was a project I was working on that fell through.

ZENDAYA AND THE YOUNG STARS OF HOLLYWOOD

We were supposed to shoot, and then a month before, it fell apart. And then I got this script for Euphoria, and that ended up shooting in its slot.

I was like, ‘Oh my God, thank God that movie fell apart!’” Now the actress is a two-time Emmy winner for her portrayal of Rue in Euphoria.

Zendaya continues to redefine Hollywood fashion, often in collaboration with her stylist, Law Roach.

NICOLE KIDMAN AND THE EVOLUTION OF HOLLYWOOD

In this Vanity Fair photoshoot, she stuns in a plunging purple suit and a pale pink co-ord paired with Bulgari jewellery. She embodied both elegance and modern style, according to 9 Honey.

Meanwhile, Kidman, at 57, has embraced bold new roles.

Her latest project, Babygirl, in which she plays a married CEO entangled with a young intern, marks a daring chapter in her career.

“If it’s seen as a risk, I’ll take these risks. And if they’re bold risks, then I’ll take those risks,” Kidman explained.

DEALING WITH GRIEF

Her recent accolades include a Best Actress win at the Venice Film Festival. The win was bittersweet, as she lost her mother just before the awards ceremony.

“Her essence has been pretty much the driving force through my whole life.

I wish she could have seen this part of it,” Kidman said, noting how much her mother looked forward to her recent projects.

SYDNEY SWEENEY AND STORYTELLING

Sydney Sweeney, another standout on the Vanity Fair cover, recently launched her own production company. She used romance rumours with co-star Glen Powell to drum up buzz for Anyone But You.

“I don’t know if we necessarily were planning on ever talking about the strategy behind any of it,” she remarked about their approach.

A known supporter of onscreen nudity when it serves the character, Sweeney defended the concept as “part of telling a story.” She praised her Eden co-star Jude Law for embracing it.

SEASON OF GLAMOUR

Vanity Fair’s editor-in-chief Radhika Jones highlighted the shift in timing for this year’s Hollywood issue.

The cover was launched it ahead of the Oscars to kick off a season of glamour.

“Think of this Hollywood Issue, with its new arrival date, as the beginning of a long and glorious red carpet,” she said.

THE OSCARS ISSUE

This cover signals a fresh generation of talent and the evolving stories of established icons.

The 2025 Vanity Fair Hollywood Issue, an early glimpse into the Oscars season, hits newsstands on 26 November.
