Will Smith raps about slapping Chris Rock on NEW album

Hollywood superstar Will Smith has once again addressed the infamous Oscars slap incident involving Chris Rock on his new album, “Based on a True Story.”

Smith slapped Rock during the 94th Academy Awards in March 2022 after the comedian made an unscripted joke about Jada Pinkett Smith’s shaved head. The incident drew heavy criticism, resulting in Smith being banned from attending the Academy Awards for ten years.

Since then, the two have not communicated, though Chris Rock publicly addressed the slap in a Netflix stand-up special, dedicating a ten-minute segment to Will Smith and his wife.

On Friday, Smith released his first full-length solo album in the past 20 years. The opening track, “Int. Barbershop — Day,” begins with the phrase, “Will Smith is canceled.” Various voices throughout the album criticize Smith, questioning his parenting and generally asking, “Who the f–k does Will Smith think he is?”

It looks like Chris Rock and Will Smith’s feud is not over

In the opening track, the “Switch” hitmaker touches on the slap, remarking, “I heard he won the Oscar, but he had to give it back / And you know they only made him do that shit because he’s black.”

Smith continues to drop bars on Rock in the second song title “You Lookin’ for Me?”.

Do you think Will Smith is going to far?
