Joburg boasts some of the best markets in the country, each offering unique experiences for visitors. Two have even been named in the top 20 best markets in the world.

Last year, the Victoria Yards market in Johannesburg and the Market @ The Sheds in Pretoria were ranked as the seventh and 15th best tourist markets in the world, respectively. To rank the best markets for tourists, Merchant Machine analysed review data from TripAdvisor and ranked “farmers market” or “street and flea market” by their percentage of five-star reviews.

According to Joburg.co.za these are 14 of Joburg’s best markets.
