Amakhosi hosted Stellenbosch FC at the FNB Stadium in a match that formed part of Kaizer Chiefs’ 55th anniversary celebrations.
And it proved to be a memorable occasion for the Glamour Boys and their supporters as a brace from striker Wandile Duba (28th and 57th minutes) gave Kaizer Chiefs a 2-1 win.
Khomotjo Lekoloane had given Stellies an early 20th-minute lead.
Kaizer Chiefs moved up to fifth place in the standings with 18 points after 12 fixtures while Stellenbosch FC slipped to seventh spot with 16 points after 11 games.

Meanwhile, Orlando Pirates were on the road in the Mother City to take on Cape Town City FC.
It proved to be a forgettable trip to the Cape for the Buccaneers who lost 1-0 to the Citizens, who incredibly, have now beaten both Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs in the space of three days after firing coach Eric Tinkler.
Orlando Pirates missed the opportunity to move ahead of defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns into top spot in the standings.
They did however stay in second place with 27 points after 11 matches.
Venezuela’s Darwin Gonzalez proved the hero for Cape Town City FC with a 74th-minute winner.
The Citizens, who appointed Muhsin Ertugral as interim coach last week, moved up to sixth place with 17 points after 12 fixtures.
