Two PSL clubs are eyeing former Chippa United and SuperSport United left-back Ronald Pfumbidzai, FARPost has learnt.
Pfumbidzai was last in SuperSport United‘s books but was released ahead of the start of the 2024/25 Betway Premiership campaign.
At the Pretoria-based side, Pfumbidzai made 16 appearances with one assist under his belt. In truth, he did not live up to his billing under Gavin Hunt, with injuries also affecting him.
To revive himself, the talented left-footer joined Scottland FC in Zimbabwe’s second-tier league. Barely six months into his stay at the club, he is already being targeted by two PSL clubs who want him.

A source close to FARPost has revealed that Chippa United are keen to re-sign him. The source also said Magesi FC officials contacted his management over a potential move.
Interestingly, in September, Pfumbidzai revealed that he does not intend to play in Zimbabwe for more than six months.
His contract with Scottland FC ends on December 31, and his eyes are firmly set on rejoining the Betway Premiership in January.
What gives him the confidence to bounce back is the fact that he has already acquired a permanent residence permit in SA.
Last season, Pfumbidzai had limited game time at SuperSport United due to a nagging knee injury. When he was released by the Tshwane side, he received several offers from PSL clubs. But he snubbed them, saying the offers were similar to what he was offered back in Zimbabwe.
Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs also inquired about the 29-year-old, but nothing materialised as he went on to join Scottland FC in Zimbabwe’s first division.
He was a key player in their campaign, and they have now gained promotion into Zimbabwe’s Castle Lager Premier Soccer League.
