Well-travelled coach Tshepo Motsoeneng has found a new home following his departure from ABC Motsepe League side Njampela FC earlier this month.

Motsoeneng has joined SAFA KwaZulu-Natal ABC Motsepe League outfit Dlangezwa Hellenic FC as the club’s new head coach for the 2024/25 campaign.

The former SuperSport United goalkeeper, Motsoeneng, will be assisted by Sithembiso Majola. Motsoeneng comes highly recommended, having won the SA football third tier more than five times.

In the last term, Motsoeneng won the KZN ABC Motsepe League with Njampela and guided them to the national playoffs held in Upington, Northern Cape, in June this year. This was Motsoeneng’s sixth appearance at the ABC Motsepe League National Playoffs, a feat that hasn’t been achieved by any other coach.

To top it off, Motsoeneng led Njampela to the Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi Legacy Cup triumph, beating Betway Premiership side Richards Bay FC 4-3 in a penalty shootout.

“The club would also like to welcome coach Sithembiso Majola as the assistant coach of Dlangezwa Hellenic.”

Given Motsoeneng’s reputation for being a great coach in the Motsepe League, it is likely that he will compete for the league title. Additionally, he will likely meet the requirements for the national playoffs and earn a spot in the Motsepe Foundation Championship.
