TS Galaxy have beefed up their techical team after the shocking exit of head coach Sead Ramovic last week. The German coach has since joined Yanga SC in Tanazian.

The Rockets have been shaken up in the coaching department after Ramovic downed tools following a turbulent start to the 2024/25 Betway Premiership season.

Ramovic made an announcement of his resignation live on TV after Galaxy shared the spoil with Stellenbosch FC with a 1-1 scoreline in a league tie most recently.

In his three seasons in South Africa, the German-born coach turned Galaxy into one of the competitive teams in the Premiership. Ramovic played a crucial role in developing exciting players who went on to complete high-profile moves to big clubs.

Since the arrival of the 45-year-old, Galaxy have sold players such as Bathusi Aubaas, Melusi Buthelezi, Given Msimango, Fiacre Ntwari, Lehlogonolo Mojela, Pogiso Sanoka, and Tshegofatso Nyama.

Meanwhile, the Tim Sukazi-owned team has already appointed Adnan Beganovic as their new head to replace Ramovic. Beganovic is familiar with TS Galaxy and has been Ramovic’s assistant coach since 2021. Beganovic will be assisted by Vuyo Mere.

In a move to add expertise on the bench, Galaxy have moved swiftly to appoint Nermin Basic as the technical advisor.

“We welcome Coach Nermin Basic, a UEFA Pro License Coach who joins us as the Technical Adviser to our new Head Coach, Adnan Beganovic. Coach Basic and Beganovic have a rich history, having worked together at NKTravnik in Bosnia Herzegovina. Coach Basic has 20 years of coaching experience, which includes having been the Head Coach of Premeiro de Augusto of Angola as well as the Assistant Coach of Ismailia of Egypt.”

The new leadership at Galaxy will be looking to bring the club back to winning ways when they face Sekhukhune United in the league on the 26th of November 2024 at Peter Mokaba Stadium.

In the current campaign, the 2019 Nedbank Cup champions are rooted at the basement of the log standings after collecting two points in their opening six games.
