Riveiro, the Sea Robbers’ coach, led the club to winning multiple titles last season, including the MTN 8.

According to ChiefsNews, he earns around R700 000 per month, and his hard work reflects in his salary.

Riveiro was born on 15 September 1975 in Vigo, Spain.

His full name is José Luis Riveiro.

According to the Citizen, he started as a soccer player in the Spanish Third Division, but his career was short-lived.

He retired before 30, admitting he was not a good player.

He started coaching in Spain and then moved to the Finnish side Honka FC in 2014 to be an assistant coach.

After spending over five years in Finland, he moved to Orlando Pirates in 2022.

4. STEVE KOMPHELA (MAMELODI SUNDOWNS)

Former soccer player and assistant coach of Masandawana, Steve Komphela, earns over R700 000 per month.

Expectedly, coaching a high-profile team like Sundowns comes with a lot of pressure, as it has many accolades to its name, considering the hefty amount he receives in his salary.

His full name is Stephen Mbuyiselo Komphela, and he was born in Kroonstad in the Free State province.

He began his career as a soccer player overseas, playing for the Turkish side Çanakkale Dardanelspor Kulübü and Gaziantepspor.

After retiring from playing soccer, he started his coaching career at Manning Rangers FC in 2003 and coached several other teams before becoming an assistant coach at Mamelodi Sundowns.

3. RHULANI MOKWENA (WYDAD AC)

The former Mamelodi Sundowns head coach, Rhulani Mokwena, used to earn close to the same amount as his colleague, Steve Komphela, which was over R700 000 per month, according to IOL.

Born in Orlando, Soweto, Mokwena, 37, was one of the youngest coaches in South Africa.

Nounouche mentioned that his teachers told the Soweto-born talent to study law. However, his love for football led him to pursue a degree in sports science.

He started his coaching career as an assistant coach at Platinum Stars FC.

He grew as an assistant coach in the industry before finally becoming the head coach of Mamelodi Sundowns in October 2022, a position he held until July 2024.

He is currently the coach at Wydad AC.

2. MANQOBA MNGQITHI (MAMELODI SUNDOWNS)

The former head coach of Mamelodi Sundowns, Manqoba Mngqithi, earns over R700 000 per month, like his former colleagues at the club.

According to Afrik-foot, Mngqithi was born Manqoba Brilliant Ferrimant Mngqithi on 25 April 1971 in UMzimkhulu, KwaZulu-Natal.

Unlike most coaches who start as players before coaching, Mngqithi has never played professional football.

Before coaching, Mngqithi was a schoolteacher.

He resigned from his job to commit to his coaching career.

He started his career at Maritzburg City FC before eventually making his way to Mamelodi Sundowns.

1.NASREDDINE NABI (KAIZER CHIEFS)

Finally, the highest-paid coach in the Betway Premiership is none other than Amakhosi coach Nasreddine Nabi.

Nabi earns a staggering amount of approximately R783 000 per month.

Nabi was born in Monastir, Tunisia, on 9 August 1965.

Kaizerchiefs.com reported that he has coached some of the best teams in the world, including those in Egypt, the UAE, and a few others.

He has also won the CAF Confederation Cup with AC Leopards in Congo.

He joined Amakhosi in July 2024 and currently has the team in the top 10 of the Betway Premiership.
