Ramovic called time on his stay at TS Galaxy after their 1-1 draw away to Stellenbosch FC in the Betway Premiership on Wednesday evening.

No ‘interim’ coach

Speaking on Metro FM’s Sports Night Amplified with Andile Ncube, Sukazi revealed assistant coach Adnan Beganovic will be taking the reins.

“As matters stand, Adnan Beganovic will remain as the head coach, and we will then see who we’ll add to our technical team – this interim and what-not [doesn’t matter], a coach is a coach, there’s no ‘interim’,” said Sukazi.

“He’ll be assisted for now by Vuyo Mere, and then we are considering the chances of adding one or two [technical members], but, with that said, it’s very humbling – I’ve been inundated with calls and CVs unsolicited.”

Suzuki added that Ramovic was part of the decision in appointing Beganovic as the new head coach, after he, in fact, tendered his resignation after their Carling Knockout Cup quarter-final defeat to Magesi FC last weekend.

“Sead announced his resignation on Sunday, after the match against Magesi, and on Monday we sat down and went through whatever we needed to go through and discuss, and we went into the game against Stellenbosch FC knowing that it is his last game,” Sukazi added.

“So we are very clear, our coaching position is not a crisis at the moment – let me just take you back, when Sead came, soon after he landed, he brought two assistants and they happened to be UEFA Pro Licence assistants.

“I was clear then that, should it happen in the future that we lose our head coach, probably one or both assistants could stay because they would know the team and the league, so we are finding ourselves in this very comfortable situation.”

Betway Premiership log

The club have yet to register a victory and have lost four and drawn two of the fixtures to date.

They have found the back of the net on three occasions, but have conceded eight goals.

They will next be in action away from home against Sekhukhune United on Tuesday, 26 November at 19:30.
