Content creator Thato Joseph Mashifane, who is popularly known as Sis Maria, has announced that he withdrew his plea for donations following advises he received from internet users.

He also warned people to be aware of the scammers who have taken over from his donation plea.

Initially, Thato took to his socials to ask for a helping hand from his followers and anyone who could assist in raising R26 000, which is the amount that is needed to cover the three months’ arrears, collection fee and storage fee. Failure to make payment before the 5th of April could lead to the repossession of his car, which could then subsequently be sold at auction.

Recently, the TikTok darling took to his Facebook page to share that he no longer needs the donations, and will be returning the money that was donated before he withdrew the plea. He also mentioned that after he asked for help, internet users shared various advises to navigate his debt, leading to him deleting the post and cancelling the donations. The comedian also expressed his gratitude to all those who tried to help him.

“I thank you so much for trying to help, thank you but I am good now,” he said.

He also took to his Facebook page to warn his followers and those who showed interest in donating to his account that they should be careful of potential scammers who may take the baton and continue to ask for donations on his behalf. He made it clear that he asked for donations and he no longer needs them.
