Thuli Phongolo denies dating Khama Billiat’s boss

Actress and DJ Thuli Phongolo has dismissed rumours suggesting she is romantically involved with Zimbabwean businessman Scott Sakupwanya, the owner of Scottland FC, the football team currently home to former Kaizer Chiefs star Khama Billiat.

Speculation around the pair began circulating after controversial blogger Musa Khawula alleged that Thuli and Sakupwanya were dating.

Khawula tweeted: “Thuli Phongolo finds love at the arms of Scott Kupa. This comes after Thuli Phongolo dumping her abusive ex-boyfriend DJ Maphorisa…”

But the former Generations: The Legacy star has come out to set the record straight. Taking to her Instagram stories recently, Thuli poured cold water on the claims with a sharp and direct statement.

“Let me undulge you fo a sec. You guys need to stop trying to link me to people I wouldn’t even consider dating. I am not dating Scott Sakupa. The end,” she wrote.

How Scott Sakupwanya responded to the rumours

Meanwhile, Sakupwanya’s publicists at Lhalys Media LLC responded to the rumours through a statement

“On behalf of our esteemed client, Honourable Scott Sakupwanya, we clarify that recent reports alleging relationships with certain individuals are entirely false, as he has not met these individuals and has no intention of doing so,” reads part of the statement.
