South African actress and DJ Thuli Phongolo recently set the record straight about her love life after DJ Maphorisa’s video with Cyan Boujee went viral.
Thuli Phongolo, who has been rumoured to be dating the celebrated Amapiano sensation DJ Maphorisa, made it known that the two were not dating.

She made the claims as she distanced herself from the producer, who was making headlines for the wrong reasons.
The muso is trending after his alleged video chilling with Cyan Boujee went viral. The two share some light moments in the video, seemingly smoking together.
Against the video, DJ Maphorisa and Cyan Boujee have yet to share their side of the story.
With the two yet to address the video that has since thrust them into top trends, Thuli Phongolo has been dragged into the drama.
The bubbly DJ quickly downplayed her relationship with DJ Maphorisa as fans questioned her affair with the muso. Reacting to the news, she posted, ‘I’m not dating Phori, let that man live, man.’
The now-deleted post has gained thousands of comments and reactions since it dropped. Others were more convinced she was just trying to save herself from embarrassment.
She has downplayed her relationship with DJ Maphorisa several times in recent months despite the media saying otherwise.
MAKING HEADLINES
DJ Maphorisa and Thuli Phongolo’s relationship went public after the actress dragged the muso to the courts for abuse in May last year.
However, Thuli Phongolo later withdrew the charges. Earlier this year, ZiMoja reported that they had worked through their issues and decided to give love another chance.
Rumour mill even established that DJ Maphorisa returned all the cars he had repossessed from Thuli Phongolo.
Apart from that, Thuli Phongolo has been allegedly spotted at DJ Maphorisa’s swanky Sandton apartments at the Leonardo more often.
DJ Maphorisa even performed a special set on DJ Thuli Phongolo’s birthday. He also reportedly gifted her a Mercedes-AMG G63 worth around R4 million.
However, against the reports and allegations, Thuli Phongolo posted, “When you’re single, but everyone still thinks you’re dating your ex… I hate that mess. Count me out.”
