‘They sing beautifully but souls are long gone’ – Did Malema send a cryptic warning to Ndlozi?

Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema appears to have sent a cryptic tweet to Mbuyiseni Ndlozi and some of the party leaders.

This follows the resignation of senior leader Advocate Dali Mpofu. The 62-year-old politician announced his departure from the Red Berets to join the Umkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party. Speaking to SABC News, Mpofu said the MK Party was the only vehicle to achieve unity and emancipation

Minutes after the news broke out, Malema took to X (formerly Twitter) to send a message to some of the party leaders.

“Only two more of your favourites remain, and the list will be finalised,” he said in a tweet.

“They sing beautifully and are always willing to pose for pictures and sign roll calls, but remember, their souls are long gone. To prevent any potential hurt, it’s crucial to heed the guidance of the leadership. We remain standing and are not going anywhere under a criminal syndicate,” Malema said.

As soon as the tweet went out, hundreds of X users assumed Malema was referring to Ndlozi in his post.

Will Ndlozi join the MK Party?
