Economic Freedom Fighters’ (EFF) leader Julius Malema has criticised President Ramaphosa on how he handled US leader Donald Trump last week.

During the highly anticipated meeting at the Oval Office, Trump surprised Ramaphosa by playing a montage of video clips featuring Malema singing the song “Kill the Boer.”

Addressing supporters in Kwakwatsi in the Free State ahead of next week’s by-elections, the EFF leader said he should have been called into Wednesday’s meeting.

“They were speaking about me in that meeting at the White House. If they were not gossiping about me, they should have called me into that meeting. I would have answered everything that Donald Trump wanted from us,” Malema said.

“The nonsense that Trump did, he will never do that nonsense in his presence because I will confront him with the facts,” he said.

“Ramaphosa could not defend himself in front of Trump. You’ve got a cowardly president.”

“Comrades, we must defend our country against imperialism. The only organisation that is hated by imperialists is the EFF. I will never be intimidated by America,” Malema added.

On Wednesday, during the meeting, Trump asked Ramaphosa if he would arrest Julius Malema for singing the song “Kill the Boer”.

What do you think of Malema’s response to the US president?
