KAIZER CHIEFS STAR BONTLE MOLEFE’S AGE REVEALED

Thanks to his club’s huge following, the star often trends whenever he posts or gets posted. Bontle Molefe is trending against the backdrop of his birthday.

The Kaizer Chiefs star recently turned a year older, and fans quickly flooded the internet with warm birthday wishes.

Despite keeping his private life under wraps, The South African quickly connected the dots about his age.

Surprisingly, Bontle Molefe is 21 years old. The Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper was born on 6 January 2003 in Soweto.

THE NEXT KHUNE?

No doubt Bontle Molefe’s age left fans more than convinced he is the future AmaKhosi number one.

Just like Itumeleng Khune, he joined the senior team from the youth academy, and his unmatched flair has wowed many despite his recent wrist injury taking a toll on his blooming career.

He has been part of the first team since coach Ernst Middendorp’s days, even though he has not had his fair share of game time.

It remains to be seen how Amakhosi will map out his future, considering his age and the likelihood that he will not take over soon, but Molefe is believed to be highly rated by the club and has gone through the same process as Khune.

The former Bafana Bafana number one joined Kaizer Chiefs at age 13, debuted when he turned 20, and became a club legend.

However, Bontle Molefe also had big wins with the U17, 20, and 23 national teams.

CAREER

He joined the Kaizer Chiefs senior team from the Youth Academy during the 2018/19 season. In 2023, Kaizer Chiefs tied the youth academy product to a lengthy new contract.

However, the star was not spotted in the mix last season, leaving many trying to connect the dots about his whereabouts.

At the time The South African connected the dots about his whereabouts. He was off the hook from the club’s activities due to a wrist injury.

“He’s nursing a wrist injury and is going through rehab. He will be out for a while,” a source said last season against the backdrop of his absence.

In 2022, he travelled to Belgium with Mduduzi Shabalala for a month-long trial with Royal Antwerp.
