The highly anticipated Superman film, directed by James Gunn, made a dazzling debut at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.
The red carpet event drew the film’s entire star-studded cast, as well as notable figures from the entertainment world.
SUPERMAN, THE MAN OF STEEL
James Gunn, who also penned the screenplay, chose not to retell Superman’s origin story. Instead, viewers meet Clark Kent already established as a reporter at the Daily Planet.
Superman is already a beloved hero, but Lex Luthor, played by Nicholas Hoult, has sinister plans. Gunn’s decision brings a brisk pace and fresh energy to the film.
“I wanted to give fans something new,” Gunn said on the red carpet. “Superman is a symbol of hope, and this film captures that spirit.”
David Corenswet takes on the iconic role of Superman/Clark Kent. Rachel Brosnahan shines as Lois Lane, and Nicholas Hoult delivers a chilling performance as Lex Luthor.
