Mamelodi Sundowns receive interest in their Bafana Bafana stars regularly. That’s ramping up again as we approach silly season.

Sundowns and Bafana superstar Mokoena wanted in France

28-year-old midfield maestro Teboho Mokoena is a mainstay for club and country. He’s got 34 caps for Bafana, to go with 295 appearances in PSL football with SuperSport and now Sundowns.

“It will be hard to keep Tebza for a long time. There is interest in him almost every week or month, and it’s becoming overwhelming for the club now. The latest is from France. I can’t say exactly which club it is at the moment, but the enquiry has been there, from France,” an insider told Soccer Laduma.

Sundowns and Pirates gear up for mammoth Champions League action

The eventual winners of this season’s Caf Champions League will take home $4 million (R75 million). That number has grown from $2.5 million in 2022. Orlando Pirates must negotiate a tough second-leg semi-final clash in Egypt against Pyramids after a hard-fought 0-0 draw in the first leg. If they advance to the final, either Mamelodi Sundowns or defending champions Al Ahly await them in another two-legged affair to crown the continent’s finest side. Sundowns meet Al Ahly on Friday, 25 April at 18:00 after a goalless first leg.
