EARTHSHOT PRIZE AWARDS: X
For the first time, the 2024 Earthshot Prize Awards are being hosted in Cape Town, where innovators from all over the world will compete to win the grand prize of R23.8 million.
Hosted by none other than Britain’s Royal Highness, Prince of Wales, Prince William, featuring mzansi’s most-loved philanthropists such as Nomzamo Mbatha, Bonang Matheba and many other global heroes passionate about climate change and socio-economical issues affecting ordinary citizens.
Although the focus is to fight the cause and crown up to five winners, fashion is always the name of the game.
According to the Earthshot organisation, these winners are crowned based on who has the best invention to protect our planet, adding that these awards have partnered up with MultiChoice as a way to give a platform to African youth creators.
