Cape Town Spurs continued their winless slump after dropping points against JDR Stars, while log leaders Milford FC defeated Casric Stars after round 12 of fixtures.

On Friday night, CT Spurs lost 1-0 against JDR Stars in the Motsepe Foundation Championship at Athlone Stadium. The Urban Warriors failed to register a victory in their last eight league matches, and they are sitting 14th on the log standings.

CT Spurs, coached by Ernst Middendorp, last collected maximum points in the NFD on the 23rd of September 2024 against Hungry Lions FC.

Since being relegated from the Betway Premiership at the end of last season, CT Spurs won two matches in the Championship, drew four and lost six times. They accumulated 10 points after 12 games played so far.

Elsewhere, Milford FC suffered a slender 1-0 loss against Casric Stars at the Princess Magogo Stadium on Saturday. The KZN-based side maintained their position at the top of the table despite the defeat.

In the current campaign, Milford have collected 23 points after winning seven games, drawing twice while losing three times in 12 outings.
