Lily mine’s victims remembered
South Africans remember the three victims of the Lily mine disaster after nine years.
It’s been reported that the mine will be opened again, and possible evacuation of the bodies will be done.
“For 9 years the Lily Mine owners said it was too risky to exhume the bodies of the miners who died underground! But now that they want to reopen the mine, it has become less risky and the 3 bodies will be retrieved and operations will resume,” an X user wrote.
Mzansi slammed the government for abandoning the victims years ago.
