A wise man by the name of DJ Khaled said, “Another one,” and word on the street is that he was talking about South Africans snatching every award or achievement on any international stage. Picking up where fellow countrymen left off, Mogau Ramaila is the reigning Miss Teen World.
Similarly to Miss Universe and Miss World, Miss Teen World is an annual international beauty pageant held specifically for teenage girls and is regarded as one of the most esteemed titles in the teen pageantry world.
The pageant was founded in 2001 and attracts a plethora of young talent year in and year out on the coveted stage in Ecuador.
Young and hopeful rising model Mogau has done what South Africans are known to do on any international stage they participate in, which is to win. She returned home as the reigning Miss World Teen, becoming the third consecutive South African to win the title after Gugulethu Mayisela and Nachalee Creser’s wins in 2022 and 2023.

In true mzansi fashion, Mogau returned home to an excited crowd cheering her on and sharing the excitement of this momentous achievement. Internet users have also expressed sheer joy and pride as has been the case when any of their countrymen represent South Africa globally.
Congratulations 🎉 to our very own Mogau Ramaila for winning Miss Teen World 👑. At 16, it’s a big deal! It’s awesome to see South Africa represented on such a global stage 🌍. No DNA, just RSA 🇿🇦
