The highly anticipated homecoming of international popiano sensation Tyla Seethal has come and gone, and it is safe to say that it was everything any artist could want after six months of being away from home. After pulling out all the stops for Cape Town and Pretoria, the global star has announced an additional Pretoria date.

Tyla’s rise to international stardom has been on full display for the world and more importantly, South Africa to see and cheer her on. The young pop star has admitted that the journey has been filled with challenges as she has had to embrace new cultures and norms while staying true to her own, which has come with backlash and criticism.

The past six months have been filled with touring different continents, recording new music, working on the deluxe album, and shooting visuals for existing projects for Tyla, leaving her away from home and family during that period. This past weekend, the ‘Shake Ah‘ hitmaker made an electrifying return to her home ground, with her first stop being Grand Arena in the Mother City, while she closed things off at the SunBet Arena in Pretoria.

The highly anticipated show was the talk of the weekend as “Tygas” of all ages, shapes and sizes went toe-to-toe about their favourite moment from the show, with some highlighting Tyla’s playful dialogue where she talked about anything and everything, including her pit-stop to Chicken Licken as soon as she landed on mzansi shores, while others replay the ‘Water‘ finale as the highlight of the show.

Seeing the positive response she received upon her return home, Tyla has revealed that she has added an additional show to her schedule, which will be held at the SunBet Arena in Pretoria. This does not come as a surprise as the crowd brought the immaculate vibes the first time around. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), she revealed that tickets would be on sale soon.

Although this has garnered a positive response, it has caused Tygas in other cities and provinces to advocate for a show near them.
