With an illustrious career spanning years, Makhadzi has quickly become one of the most sought-after artists in South Africa.
The Limpopo-born star has been busy and booked since her shot into the limelight.
MAKHADZI’S BOOKING FEE LEAKED ONLINE
She has headlined several shows across the globe and has rubbed shoulders with some of the world’s A-listers.
Rumour mill has it Makhadzi is one of the most booked and expensive artists to book.
However, contrary to the reports, she has managed to keep her booking fees under wraps despite several fees being leaked online.
Makhadzi is making headlines after her outdoor booking fee was revealed in a now-viral press release statement against her no-show at the Annual Fun Games and Music Festival held at Makwassie Stadium on Friday.
According to the statement, she was booked to headline the annual music festival for R180 000—however, an additional R3 000 for a promotional video.
Fans were more than convinced that she deserved more.
After all, the publication has since established that booking fees tend to differ due to seasons, and this is not the first time Makhadzi has made headlines.
In August, she made headlines after she turned out a gig because the amount was less than expected.
Despite being the face of the Phalaphala Royal Heritage Festival over the years, Makhadzi was not part of this year’s celebrations, as the two failed to find common ground.
Confirmed reports state that she turned down a R150 000 offer from the event organisers. Rumour has it that the festival had no fixed budget, leaving Makhadzi insecure.
MAKING HEADLINES

Her no-show saw angry fans destroying equipment worth around R3 million. Against the incident, North West police spokesperson Colonel Adele Myburgh has confirmed the incident.
“Reports suggest that attendees of the Annual Fun Games and Music Festival were unhappy when the lead singer (Makhadzi) did not pitch up and went on a rampage.
“The stage and other equipment were burnt down to an estimated value of close to R3 million,” said Colonel Adéle Myburgh
However, the publication has since reported that a manhunt was launched in response to the incident, and no arrests have been made yet.
