MaMkhize becomes new president of eSwatini Football Club
Businesswoman and reality TV star Shauwn Mkhize reportedly acquired a football club in eSwatini.
According to online reports, MaMkhize is said to have purchased Mbabane Highlanders, one of the country’s biggest teams, making her the first female president of the capital city club.
The news, shared by popular football page @UnplayableZA, left many online users in disbelief, especially given her ongoing legal battles and past controversies surrounding Royal AM in South Africa.
While some praised the bold move, others questioned the decision to sell her a team in another country, considering the history of her football dealings.
“People in eSwatini really overlooked all the red flags,” one netizen wrote in reaction to the report, while others raised concerns about the club’s future under her leadership.
Still, Shauwn remains unfazed, continuing to build her brand and influence despite public scrutiny.
Neither MaMkhize nor the Mbabane Highlanders have released an official statement at the time of writing, but social media has been buzzing with opinions.
