MAMKHIZE FINALLY COMES CLEAN AND ISSUES AN APOLOGY FOR THE NON-PAYMENT

2025 has kicked off on a bad note for businesswoman and reality TV star Shauwn Mkhize. This comes after she is trending once again as her financial woes continue.

MaMkhize has been in the spotlight after reports emerged that the club’s players have been absent from training due to unpaid salaries.

SABC Sport reported that the Royal AM players have decided not to resume training until their unpaid December salaries are settled.

MaMkhize has since released a statement apologising for the non-payment and setting the record straight.

“We acknowledge the hardship this has caused and extend our apologies to those impacted, including their families,” reads part of the statement.

MAMKHIZE ASSURES PLAYERS THEIR SALARIES WILL BE PAID

The SABC Sport report also mentioned that the players had approached the Premier Soccer League to reschedule their match as their salary issues remain unresolved.

Chippa United announced that their Betway Premiership match against Royal AM was postponed, citing no specific reason.

However, the businesswoman has guaranteed players that their salaries will be paid. She revealed that a curator has been assigned to oversee the release of funds.

“As many are aware, the club is currently under curatorship following a preservation order obtained by SARS. This has resulted in the temporary appointment of a curator, Mr Jaco Venter, to oversee the club’s assets and operations. We want to assure all stakeholders that Royal AM remains committed to resolving this matter as swiftly as possible.”

“The club’s management team, led by our CEO and General Manager, has been working diligently with the curator to secure the necessary permissions to release funds for salary payments.

In closing, she expressed gratitude for the patience of the players and all other parties involved and assured. She also said that they would provide updates in a timely manner.
