Orlando Pirates fans have a lot to be excited about.

Not only do they have one foot in the Champions League semi-finals, beating MC Alger 1-0 in the first of two encounters, but they’re also in negotiations with some of South Africa’s finest, including AmaZulu FC winger Tshepang Moremi.

The 24-year-old is due to become a free agent on June 30, increasing Jose Riveiro’s chances of landing the talented attacker. “The club is keen to sign Moremi for next season, and negotiations have already started,” Kick Off confirmed.

Saleng back in training

Monnapule Saleng was spotted at training for the first time in nearly four months amid salary demands that Orlando Pirates management feels are unjust.

You’ll have to go back to December 7 for the last time Saleng was seen in Buccaneers threads—the Bloemhof native hasn’t featured in a matchday squad since.

The latest events suggest a Saleng-Pirates reunion is right around the corner.

“He will be back, and he is working hard to make sure that it happens. But it’s a complex situation that isn’t easy for anyone to understand, and we are waiting for the club to make a statement. The club could soon be issuing a statement, and until then, let’s wait,” a source commented.

Pirates’ Starboy

It’s not only Relebohile Mofokeng who is potent with potential; Mohau Nkota deserves to be in the conversation following Tuesday evening’s Champions League encounter.

Five minutes was all the 20-year-old needed to make a difference, subbing on for Kabelo Dlamini in the 60th minute.
