South African Football Association (SAFA) president Dr Danny Jordaan is set to appear before the Specialised Commercial Crime Court in Palm Ridge TODAY.
This relates to accusations of misusing R1.3 million of SAFA funds for personal gain.
According to SABC News, Dr Jordaan faces, among others, fraud and theft charges.
Furthermore, Dr Jordaan is accused of irregularly using the Association’s funds to hire a communications company for his personal image.
At the time, Dr Jordaan was still the president; the position he first occupied after the 2013 SAFA presidential election.
His two co-accused are SAFA Chief Financial Officer Gronie Hluyo and businessman Trevor Neethling.
