SACHA FEINBERG-MNGOMEZULU’S FAMILY CONGRATULATES HIM ON WORLD RUGBY NOMINATION

On Monday, 18 November, Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu was announced as one of the nominees for the Breakthrough Player of The Year.

Sacha – who also plays for the Stormers – was nominated amongst fellow players like Immanuel Feyi-Waboso (England), Jamie Osborne (Ireland), and Wallace Sititi (New Zealand).

Naturally, Sacha’s family were beaming with pride over the announcement.

They include Dad Nick Feinberg, mom Makhosazana Mngomezulu, and brother Nathan.

Sacha, who is of mixed race and has Zulu and Jewish heritage, adopted both his parents’ surnames.

Sacha’s dad is a radio personality, while his mother is a respected lawyer. His brother Nathan is also a public star, a well-known model, and a reality TV star.

Both his parents retweeted the news with a South African flag emoji.

Meanwhile, Nathan reposted the news on his Instagram Story. Under a World Rugby post, he commented: “SFM all the way!”

SUPPORTIVE OF HIS DREAMS

Speaking to Behind The Ruck, Sacha Feinberg-Mgomezulu revealed that his family supported his dreams of playing professional rugby.

He added that while his dad did not pressure him to succeed, his brother encouraged him to stay focused and keep a level head.

He said of his older brother: “He has pushed me the hardest. The only guy who told me if I was getting chubby or if I was too slow. If I had a good game, he told me it was a ‘decent game.’ Those little margins, I love him for it, because he never made me feel like I wasn’t good enough. But he made me feel like I could be better”.
