Reality TV star and businesswoman, Ratile Mabitsela Mabotja, recently shared her healing journey process following her divorce and subsequently the death of her ex-husband and her children’s father, Elias Lehlohonolo Mabitsela.

Ratile became popular with her stint on The Mommy Club, and many admired the way she carried herself amid everyday drama with other mommies.

Recently she took to Lungelo’s podcast, Engineer Your Life where she broke her silence for the first time after Elias passed away.

Speaking to Lungelo she said: “I’m healing every day. I am in therapy. My children are in therapy. We do it at least once a week. We trying to keep up with the new normal and trying to create new traditions for the four of us.”

During the podcast, Ratile who changed her surname from Mabitsela to her maiden name touched on the alleged beef between her and the Mabitsela’s and the death of Elias citing: “It left me traumatised. More trauma than anything. Having to also feel the absence because we’ll have the conversations with the children and now we need to constantly revisit it. It’s a journey,” she said.

Ratile described speaking up about her healing process as embracing every part of her journey and reclaiming herself.

“Taking it one step at a time, embracing every part of my journey – even the unhealed and unrecovered. My story isn’t just mine; it’s a testament to resilience, and it’s meant to touch lives forever. I am not what happened to me, Reclaiming Boitumelo, ” she penned.
