President Cyril Ramaphosa has named Gwede Mantashe as the stand-in acting minister of police until the end of July 2025.
Mantashe, who is also the minister of mineral and petroleum resources, will juggle both roles until Professor Firoz Cachalia takes over reins in August, albeit also in an acting capacity.
