Rachel Kolisi jets off for family vacation

Rachel Kolisi and her family – including two children – have jetted off to Australia for a family vacation. But notably missing is the Kolisi patriarch – Siya.

The Springboks captain and Sharks star appears to be sitting out this trip abroad.

And it’s likely due to a busy world schedule and the fact that he and Rachel announced their marriage split just two months ago.

Will this be the family’s first Christmas apart?

RACHEL KOLISI AND FAMILY JET OFF TO AUSTRALIA

On her Instagram Stories, Rachel Kolisi has been updating her followers about her plans to vacation in Australia. This includes a trip with her two children and Siya’s sister Liyema, whom she’s taken as her own.

She’s packed and planned, and she even spent a full day at her local Home Affairs office collecting travel documents.

Rachel also revealed her plans to meet up with her siblings, including brother Joel Smith and his wife, former Olympic swimmer Tatjana Smith.

Notably absent from all the festivities is Siya Kolisi, who Rachel officially split from in October after eight years of marriage.  The couple have been together since 2012.

Could this be their first Christmas apart and estranged?

WHAT WILL SIYA BE UP TO?

While Rachel Kolisi and the kids enjoy time Down Under, Siya has a busy schedule as part of his KwaZulu-Natal club, the Sharks.

During the festive season, the popular player will play in the following matches

  • 14 December – Sharks vs Leicester Tigers [Mattioli Woods Welford Road, UK]
  • 21 December – Sharks vs Bulls [Kings Park Stadium]
  • 28 December – Sharks vs Stormers [DHL Stadium]

The players will take a short break and then resume playing on 11 January in a game against Toulouse on home ground.
