Kaizer Chiefs fans have a lot to be excited about as AmaKhosi begins to roll up their sleeves for the upcoming transfer market.
Coach Nasreddine Nabi has been doing his rounds to try to lure top talent, namely Feisal Salum and Fiston Mayele. The Tunisian returned to his old stomping grounds (Tanzania) to meet with former player Salum before heading up north to hold talks with one of Africa’s most sought-after talents, Mayele.
And while the former has given the green light, signing the latter seems to be out of reach as Pyramids become inundated with several high-money offers.
“Mayele’s career with Pyramids FC will end at the end of the current season. The player will leave after the Zamalek and Pyramids match in the Egypt Cup final.”
“Mayele has received incredible offers, offers exceeding $3 million (R55 million) and reaching $4 million (R74 million) per season. The player is receiving $1 million per season from Pyramids, but he completely refuses to continue.”
“Pyramids Club, in appreciation of the player and the fact that he is the top scorer in the African Champions League and was one of the reasons the team won the championship,” Egyptian publication Al-Masry Al-Youm revealed.
Who’s leaving?
Kaizer Chiefs have decided to part ways with Range Chivaviro, who was a shadow of his former self last campaign.
The club confirmed the news in a statement, saying, “Kaizer Chiefs will not be extending striker Ranga Chivaviro’s contract when it expires at the end of the month.”
“The Limpopo-born attacker joined Amakhosi from Marumo Gallants in the 2023/24 season on a two-year deal. He scored nine goals and provided one assist in 45 official matches wearing Chiefs colours over two seasons.”
We thank Ranga for his positive contribution to the team and wish him all the best in his future exploits.”
Meanwhile, Njabulo Blom and Sabelo Radebe have also been released.
